A gym in the seaside town of Bridlington has had a major refurbishment. All previous equipment has been replaced and the gym now boasts Assault Elite Air Bikes, a first for a council-owned leisure centre in the East Riding. Overall, the gym’s cardiovascular training offer has been upgraded, with 42 machines from the MATRIX CV kit, including the ascent trainer, Concept 2 rowing machines, treadmills and a range of cycles.

A new Matrix Strength kit and 26 new Matrix Spin Bikes have also been added. Adam Mainprize, senior facility manager, said he was “delighted” that the gym equipment had been upgraded, adding that they looked forward to welcoming customers new and old to the refurbished gym. He said: “Although East Riding Leisure Bridlington is already a modern – and hugely popular – facility, it’s vital that we stay completely up to date with state of the art equipment, so that we can provide the very best service for our customers.”
