Hello and welcome to Wednesday’s live blog. Granted, you’re probably not feeling particularly chipper today after a pretty dreadful result up at New Lawn as Bristol City were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Forest Green. It was a defeat, to a League Two side after another injury-time goal was conceded which, rightfully so, is of concern but was also technically only a draw with 11 changes from the team that played on the weekend. Some perspective should help with the anger. We’ll be bringing you the reaction from New Lawn as City now can concentrate on their league programme with a trip to Middlesbrough next up for Nigel Pearson’s side.
There’s also the transfer window which, despite minimal activity in this particularly part of the West Country, remains open until the end of the month with Adam Nagy wanting to leave the club. Other are also likely to follow, should suitable buyers be found, and then maybe, just maybe, Pearson will be able to add to his squad. We shall see, but we’ll bring you any updates regarding that aspect of the club and from across the Championship.
